AP/AR Specialist

FlowFi is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounts Payable and Receivable (AP / AR) Specialist to join our finance team on a contract basis. This remote role will involve managing both incoming and outgoing financial transactions, ensuring the accuracy of expense reports, processing journal entries, and supporting various accounting and finance tasks. The ideal candidate will bring a strong analytical mindset and attention to detail, with a solid understanding of accounting principles and software. Key Responsibilities : Expense Report Management : Accurately process and reconcile employee expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies and budget guidelines. Accounts Payable & Receivable : Manage and process invoices for both payables and receivables, ensuring timely payments and collections. Collaborate with vendors and clients to resolve discrepancies as needed. Journal Entries : Prepare, record, and review journal entries to maintain accurate financial records. Reconciliation : Assist in monthly, quarterly, and year-end reconciliation of financial accounts. Financial Reporting Support : Provide support for the preparation of financial reports and documentation for audits, ensuring completeness and accuracy. Process Improvement : Continuously identify opportunities for improving financial processes and systems for greater efficiency and accuracy. Qualifications : Proven experience in accounts payable and receivable, as well as expense report management. Strong analytical skills with the ability to process complex financial data and make sound decisions. Proficient in preparing and posting journal entries. Exceptional attention to detail and high level of accuracy. Ability to work independently in a remote setting, with excellent time management skills. Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar platforms) is required. Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively. Clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal.
