Job Summary:
Fabricate parts and components for equipment, products, and installations using MIG, MAG, TIG, electrode welds or other welding applications. Collaborate with a customer-focused team to meet tight deadlines, resolve mechanical problems, and discuss work with the manager before, during, and after completion.
Responsibilities:
- Select the appropriate welding method, such as TIG, MIG, or stick.
- Properly identify materials and prepare components.
- Repair raw and finished parts using welding techniques.
- Complete assigned welding tasks according to operation instructions.
- Verify the quality of finished work, demonstrating an in-depth understanding of specifications and workmanship.
- Meet production goals relating to efficiency, schedules, and scrap.
- Record accurate, timely data on computer-based systems or in manual logs.
- Maintain a safe workplace by wearing relevant protective equipment and following procedures and rules.
- Clean and maintain equipment and tools and keep an organized workspace.
- Define, evaluate, and discuss quality workmanship related to welding.
- Show a customer-service mindset for on-time delivery and quality work.
