About this Role
This position involves fabricating and assembling parts and components using various welding methods.
You will work in a team environment, handling complex tasks, collaborating with colleagues, and reporting to your manager.
The shift hours for this role are Monday to Thursday, from 3:30 pm to 2 am, with training on the first shift required for up to six months.
Responsibilities
- Select the appropriate welding method based on the task requirements.
- Prepare materials and components for welding, ensuring accuracy and precision.
- Repair raw and finished parts using welding techniques.
- Meet production goals, maintaining efficiency, schedules, and scrap rates.
- Record accurate and timely data on computer-based systems or manual logs.
- Implement safety protocols, wearing protective equipment, and following procedures.
- Clean and maintain equipment, tools, and workspace.
- Evaluate and discuss quality workmanship related to welding.
- Develop a customer-service mindset for on-time delivery and quality work.
- Attend work reliably, willing to work overtime.
Requirements
- Experience in manufacturing environments with fabrication and assembly responsibilities.
- Ability to stand for long periods, frequently lift up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift heavier loads.
- Obtain ASME welder certifications within six months of employment (horizontal stick/tig and flat mig).
