Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Machinist to join our team at our manufacturing facility in Taneytown, MD. The ideal candidate will have experience with manual lathes, CNC machines, and precision measuring instruments. They will be responsible for setting up and operating machinery, maintaining a clean and organized work area, and adhering to safety procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Run castings on CNC machines
- Maintain clean and well-organized work area
- Accurately machine to within a /- .001 tolerance
- Understand and operate machines, tooling, and measuring equipment properly and safely
- Comfortable with all types of precision measuring equipment and working in English and Metric systems
- Experienced with jib and overhead cranes lifting large castings
- Adhere to all Safety Procedures & Policy
Requirements:
- CNC Machinist/Programmer with EdgeCAM or similar CAM software programming knowledge & experience
- Experience in using and interpreting precision measuring instruments
- Demonstrated ability to read and interpret blueprints, geometric tolerances, and finishes during the application of machining
- Ability to work in a team-oriented and CIP environment
- Ability to read and interpret instructions and drawings
- Ability to follow complex verbal and written instructions
- Able to stand for long periods, repetitive arm motions, frequent lifting with occasional lifting up to 50 lbs
- Ability to work overtime as required
- High School Diploma/GED or relevant years of experience in lieu of education
