What are the responsibilities and job description for the Supplier Resident Quality Inspector position at Flowserve India Controls Pvt. Ltd.?
Role Summary
- Quality Control operator qualified to perform visual and dimensional inspections on parts and products for verification of conformance according to applicable requirements.
- Accountable to evaluate inspection results versus acceptance criteria, to comply with defined processes for inspection execution, non-conforming material identification, segregation and management.
- Support Part Qualification (Flowserve Part Approval Process [FPAP] as requested.
- Identify opportunities for improvement within supplier, follow up to verify improvement/corrective actions are implemented for sustainability, and where deemed appropriate, engage Supplier Manager (Global/Division) for further detailed supplier improvement support activity.
- Provide daily/weekly status reports on Flowserve Products going through a Suppliers facility ensuring they are on target to the Production Schedule: (Part #, Qty, Manufacturing Operation, Expected completion and delivery date).
- With a focus upon documentation, ensure all compiled documents meet the requirements as set forth in the PO and supporting specifications to customer expectations.
- Validate that Special Process Operations are conducted as per approved procedure/standard, to include Qualified/Certified Operators.
- Witness, Perform and Monitor all Inspection activities as defined by Project ITP and PO Scope of Supply.
CORE CAPABILITIES
- Inspect and verify parts & products according to Inspection and Test Plans, QC Plans, Drawing, Manufacturing Documents
- Certified in ASNT SNT-TC-1A Visual Test (VT) level 2,Penetrant-dye (PT), Magnetic Particle (MT) or Ultrasonic (UT) Tests level 2
- Selection and use of visual and dimensional instruments based on inspected items features, requirements and acceptance criteria
- >8 years direct inspection experience at supplier site (Resident Inspector) to include
- Visual Inspection Requirements
- Characteristic measurement to 1st principles
- Understanding of CMM Measurement Techniques and Output
- Understanding of Calibration Controls
- Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) Familiarity
- Drawing and Inspections documents reading and interpretation (GD&T)
- Communication and recording/reporting of inspection results
- Outgoing, confident and good collaborative soft skillset.
- Willingness and confidence to STOP WORK when appropriate.(Preferred) Certified Quality Inspector (CQI, ASQ) or equivalent recognized standard.

- Experience in quailty control department

- Strong organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Diploma /BE in Mechanical in relevant field 8-12 years relevant experience
