What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant County Attorney position at Floyd County Attorney?
The Floyd County Attorney seeks qualified applicants for the position of Assistant County Attorney. Duties of the position will include prosecution of criminal offenses, juvenile delinquency and child in need of assistance cases, mental health commitments, and representation of county officials in civil matters. The position is responsible to and supervised by the County Attorney.
Applicants must be licensed to practice law in the State of Iowa, or obtain admission to the Bar on or before October 1, 2025. Experience is preferred. Knowledge of and experience with technology in both the law office and the courtroom setting is preferred. Salary range is $75,000 - $87,000, and is based upon experience. Floyd County offers a competitive benefits package as well.
