The successful candidate will maintain facilities in a clean and sanitary condition, adhering to strict safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare a diverse range of baked goods and other food dishes.
- Determine the appropriate quantity of food items for cooking and baking, adjusting and extending recipes as needed while maintaining food quality standards.
- Monitor temperatures of food to ensure safety and quality standards are met, including water temperatures for sanitizing.
- Serve food according to established guidelines, replenishing serving containers as needed, and sell lunch items to faculty.
- Clean cafeteria equipment, utensils, and appliances, store food supplies, and adhere to kitchen sanitation and safety procedures and regulations.
- Assist in storing unused food and supplies, dispose of unusable leftovers, and utilize proper methods of handling foods to be stored.
- Operate standard kitchen utensils and equipment, including slicer, chopper, mixer, steamer, fryer, dishwasher, electric warmer, range, oven, pressure cooker, cash register, and other cafeteria equipment as required.
