We are seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Professional to join our team at Floyd County Schools. As a key member of our operations staff, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and safety of our school facilities.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Clean and maintain classrooms, offices, workshops, and other assigned work areas, including sweeping, mopping, waxing, and polishing floors.
- Clean and disinfect drinking fountains, sinks, toilets, showers, and urinals; clean mirrors, tile, and windows.
- Report safety, sanitary, and fire hazards to appropriate authority; report and recommend maintenance repairs as needed.
- Maintain security of buildings; report suspicious or unauthorized individuals on campus; report infractions or rules to supervisor.
Requirements and Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Prior experience in facilities maintenance or a related field preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
