SUMMARY
Sells new and/or used Kubota and related products in accordance with established profit and unit count objectives.
Valid Driver’s License is required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Assists customers in selecting/ordering Kubota equipment by asking questions and listening carefully to their responses.
Understands and complies with federal, state, and local regulations that affect the sale of new and used Kubota equipment.
Meets or exceeds objectives for new- and/or used Kubota equipment deliveries established by Kubota and the dealership.
Uses all reasonable methods of prospecting for new- and used Kubota customers on a daily basis, either by telephone or by making calls to individuals and businesses outside the dealership.
Prepares and turns in to the Kubota sales manager, outside sales call reports listing who was called, what units were quoted, and units available for sale, if applicable.
Provides follow-up and ongoing service to existing customers.
Offers service to all walk-in and call-in customers on assigned floor days. Demonstrates new and used Kubota equipment to customer. (May include demos.) Closes new and used Kubota deals.
Writes complete and accurate sales orders, secures deposits, and processes paperwork in accordance with established dealership policies.
Prepares purchaser statements.
Delivers new Kubota equipment, explaining warranty and service policies. Attends sales and training meetings.
Studies Kubota and equipment specifications to improve knowledge of product performance and application continually.
Sales representatives must be continually training by completing on-line training as well attending training classes required for certification by Kubota Tractor Corporation
Appraises used equipment when necessary.
Collects accurate and complete financial data on customers when necessary. Schedules first service appointment at time of delivery. Maintains professional appearance.

Qualifications

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in
written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Salesperson Certification on all products represented.
State Sales License Valid CDL License
