We are searching for a team-oriented experienced machinist to perform precise machining operations using 3, 4 and 5 axis CNC machines to manufacture aerostructures and components for the defense industry.

Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a CNC Machine Operator at Fluid Mech in Hauppauge, NY. The role involves day-to-day tasks such as machine operation, in process quality control, and working with measurement tools to ensure the production of high-quality aerostructures and components.
Qualifications
- CNC Machine Operation Skills (Mazak, Okuma, Mitsui Seiki)
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Strong attention to detail and quality standards
- Basic math, trig, and computer skills
- Knowledge of AS9100 and ISO 9001 standards
- 5 years prior experience in aerospace manufacturing
Responsibilties
- Operate multiple CNC machines and other machine tools.
- Use engineering drawings, sketches, job travelers to manufacture parts and follow direction from Leadperson, Production Manager or Engineering Department.
- Complete paperwork prior to moving parts to next operation
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote a safe and efficient environment, wear proper PPE
- Maintain machines as directed and report PM activities to maintenance supervisor and quality department
- Meet assigned production schedules while delivering high-quality workmanship
