This position performs basic project accounting activities and assumes responsibility for maintenance of project-related ledger accounts.
• Understand the Prime Contract commercial terms
• Analyze and apply the activities being performed with respect to engineering and construction accounting methodology and company practices
• Perform the required tasks and follow established written procedures and techniques to accomplish activities
• Participate in the Commercial Alignment Process and preparation of the Integrated Framework Checklist for the Project Business Plan and Project Integrated Framework Alignment meetings
• Knowledge of journal entries, revenue recognition, close accruals, post-close variance analysis
• Willingness to learn & understand union processes pertaining to general payroll, how inter-
company cost works, fringes, along with understanding union wage sheets and work with
industrial relations for rate construction
•Supervise & Support the cost, hours, and billing reconciliation, project margin analysis reporting,
GL recon process and resolution, AR monitoring and resolution, To-Be-Billed monitoring and
resolution and internal & external audit support
•Be comfortable interfacing with internal project teams and appropriate client counterparts for
tasks such as invoicing, aged AR, and project forecasting
•Organize and prioritize a variety of projects and multiple tasks in an effective and timely manner, set priorities, and meet deadlines
•Plan and organize own work assignments, as well as carry out tasks from management staff
•Adhere to and support Fluor's Health, Safety & Environmental and Sustainability Policies
•Effectively develop and apply the Core Skills to the job
•May need to travel to attend to business related matters
•Meet expectations on attendance and punctuality
• Set-up project structure in SAP
• Support and lead invoicing
• Other duties as assigned
• Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and two (2) years of work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to six (6) years if non-degreed; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements
• Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors
• Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
• Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines
• Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner
•Complete customer invoicing
•Cost tracking against PO’s and WO budgets
•Compile manpower forecasts

• Two (2) years of related Project Business Service (PBS)/project experience
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Good leadership and decision-making skills
• Demonstrated proficiency in the use of personal computer-based business applications
• Demonstrated ability as a power user of Fluor’s Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) applications
