Job Summary
This is a Solutions Architect for the National Critical Industrials Portfolio. This position is not IT focused. Develop comprehensive technical architecture, design, and blueprint solutions for Mission Solutions, National Security initiatives. They will apply industry best practices and federal architecture standards along with proven solutions to develop tailored solutions during all stages of proposal development and project/program execution. The SA applies analytical, problem-solving and communication skills to find and present technology solutions aligned to deliver winning proposals, shape emerging opportunities, and enhance project/program execution. The SA works to shape Fluor as an innovator and high-quality solution provider to customers. Drive new business growth and customer success by providing technical/business solution expertise. Own the technical volume, level of effort estimations, overall solutions design, and hand off to service delivery from cradle to grave. Have and maintain strong ties to the technical community, and keep abreast of emerging technical trends, solutions, and emerging requirements. Lead development of Fluor Project Execution Strategy (PES) and Fluor Project Execution Plan (PEP).
Job Duties
Align with Defense and Intelligence Portfolios
Plan and execute customer and partner engagements
Serve as part of the “SOC Team” (Sales, Operations, Contracts)
Support Portfolio and Pipeline development and growth
Develop, cultivate, and manage customer and partner technical relationships
Architect and design innovative and cost-effective technical solutions
Design approaches that optimize One Fluor technical capabilities and offerings
Provide technical leadership and consulting level support on industry trends and standards on business and technical solutions
Provide facilitation for collaborative calls/solutions sessions with teaming partners and internal stakeholders
Develop technical roadmaps for future implementations and perform systems modeling, simulation, and analysis
Present technology solutions to leadership, customers
Collaborate with Sales/Business Development and Capture teams, assuming the technical lead of the entire business development cycle including pre-sales, capture and proposal.
Create technical solutions for proposals and manage technical response development by partnering contributors from various teams including partners
Responsible for developing technical proposal with corporate processes and methodologies, demonstrating an understanding of customer business needs, clear description of the technical solution being offered, and development of the Level of Effort (staffing plan)
Evaluate the technical response for accuracy, cohesiveness, compliance, and ensure it conveys a compelling solution
Providing consulting, delivery, and operational support and expertise
Perform technical duties on existing contracts as a subject matter expert and help us adopt new technologies or meet complex contract deliverables
Attend technical forums
Participate in technical professional organizations
Have and maintain deep understanding of customer/client needs and technical solutions to meet those needs
Develop and maintain strong understanding of “One Fluor” capabilities and offerings
Work to align One Fluor capabilities and offerings to customer/client needs and requirements
Translate One Fluor commercial capabilities and offerings into Defense and Intelligence customer/client needs and requirements into
Sales/growth responsibilities and targets – Aligned to Defense and Intelligence Portfolios
Close collaboration with Sales/BD team
Potential to be proposed as a bid PM or technical Key Person (KP)
Potential to serve as a project/program PM and/or technical KP
Opportunity to conduct experiential / rotational assignments with Fluor Commercial
Coordinate with Sales and Operations teams and personal to develop, coordinate, and staff the PES and PEP for all opportunities
Coordinate and work with Fluor risk to ensure compliance and receive support for all opportunities• Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and twelve (12) years of work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to sixteen (16) years if non-degreed; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements
• Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders
• Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
