FluoroFusion is an EPA–certified refrigerant reclaimer focused on Carbon offsetting. Based in North Carolina, FluoroFusion services the entire country and proudly sells US–made, Arctic Eagle–brand refrigerants to the HVAC/R marketplace.
We are looking for a customer oriented, safety minded Site Technician and Route Driver to join our team. The Candidate will be interacting with HVAC, Specialty Chemical, and Refrigerant customers to pursue additional clients, exchange cylinders, and consolidate gases. Our ideal candidate will be organized, goal oriented, technically capable, and dependable. They will also need to be able to obtain a CDL C and Hazmat certification once hired if they do not have that. The person who joins us will be contributing to the team effort by communicating with the Executive Team, Sales Team, and Logistics Staff on a regular basis. You must be comfortable working alone as this is a satellite location.
Job Duties:
- Demonstrate knowledge of our products and equipment, including pressurized tanks.
- Load and unload Service Truck daily with gas cylinders and supplies using lift gate and pallet jack.
- Operate the cylinder exchange program by scheduling and performing customer pick-ups and drop-offs of refrigerant gas cylinders at customer locations on a route within 4 hours of the site.
- Identify sources of used refrigerant gas in the territory and promote the exchange program to increase the amount of refrigerant gas coming to the site.
- Quick response times to customer inquiries and performance of pickups and deliveries in a timely manner to ensure customer satisfaction and promote company image.
- Operate and maintain equipment that transfers refrigerant gas from small cylinders to large cylinders and reconditions cylinders to be returned to customers for reuse.
- Keep accurate reports and submit daily work orders and weekly expense reports on-time
- Provide care for your facility, tools, equipment, and truck by keeping them organized, in good condition, and maintained according to manufacturer and/or company recommendations
- Work safely and report any safety concerns
- Other job duties as identified
Skills and Qualifications:
- Be committed to safety and team excellence
- Be personable, professional in actions and appearance, responsive, and knowledgeable.
- Knowledge of the HVAC industry and experience with the handling of refrigerant and recovery of HVAC gases are preferred
- Be ambitious and goal oriented to help grow the customer base while earning additional commission.
- Commercial Drivers License, CDL Class C License or ability to obtain
- HazMat Endorsement preferred, or ability to obtain certification within 90 days of employment
- EPA Section 608Universal Certification preferred or ability to complete certification within 90 days of employment
- Self-Motivated, Responsible, and comfortable working alone.
- Must possess the technical knowledge to perform the job and follow all safety procedures
- Computer skills required with the ability to type and utilize email, web browsers, and basic Microsoft office applications
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with internal and external customers
- Highly organized, understands importance of deadlines and time management
- Follows instructions and responds well to direction
- Takes responsibility for actions, and keeps commitments
- Completes tasks on time or communicates alternate plans
- Bilingual is a plus but not required
Physical Demands:
- A lot of time will be spent in the truck, driving
- Must be able to work in all kinds of weather
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, and talk or hear
- This position entails very heavy work which requires exerting in excess of 100 pounds of force occasionally (possibly up to 350 pounds), and/or in excess of 75 pounds of force frequently, and/or in excess of 50 pounds of force constantly to move/lift object
Requirements:
- No preventable accidents of any kind in the last 3 years.
- No more than 2 minor tickets in the last 3 years.
- No serious violation ticket (speeding 15 , reckless driving, etc.) in the last 3 years.
- No suspensions of CDL in the last 3 years except for “Failure to pay child support”.
- No DUI in the last 7 years.
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- At least 21 years old
- Comply with all DOT and OSHA regulations.
- Maintain appropriate drivers' license and endorsements
Typical Hours 7:30am to 4:30pm. Must be flexible and available as needed, occasional overtime may be required to complete a route. Salary based on having CDL, HazMat, EPA certification, industry experience, and demonstrated success in similar roles.
