Responsibilities
- Provide professional engineering consultation in the planning, design, and coordination of diverse projects.
- Develop and evaluate engineering reports, plans, and specification criteria.
- Coordinate with a multidisciplinary project team, including client communication, proposal coordination, marketing, presentations, and other related activities.
- Prepare specifications, scaled drawings, and proposals, ensuring the final plans meet approval standards for materials and construction.
- Meet with clients to determine project objectives and requirements.
- Review junior staff's work for technical accuracy and provide guidance to other professionals and technicians.
- Perform quality control reviews, field reviews, and observations of ongoing construction projects.
- Review and approve scopes, budgets, and schedules for assignments, and manage or lead a team to complete projects.
- Degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited program, with a minimum of 15 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in good standing.
- Knowledgeable in federal, state, and local codes, regulations, and ordinances.
- Proficiency in production software and construction document production.
- Proven ability to address challenging issues in a professional manner and lead teams to successful project delivery.
- Experience working on major projects or multiple moderate-sized projects and providing technical guidance to junior staff.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with clients, contractors, and team members.
