Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the performance of Field Construction Managers for electric substations and transmission lines.
- Determine contract resource requirements, manage contractor performance, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Coordinate field inspection and sign-offs for construction projects.
- Ensure contractors adhere to safety, quality, schedules, and budgets.
- Collaborate with management and contractors to resolve issues and ensure construction work adheres to specifications.
- Participate in budget planning, construction project negotiations, and risk mitigation activities.
- Ensure compliance with critical infrastructure protection standards, including CIP, FERC, NERC, and ISO standards.
- Maintain safety awareness and ensure contractors comply with safety policies and practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent education.
- 7 years of relevant experience, including at least 5 years in a supervisory role.
- 10 years of progressive experience in the electric utility industry, with construction management experience preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Project, or equivalent.
- Valid Driver’s License required.
- Willingness to travel to construction sites and attend meetings.
- Experience in the functional areas of Substations, T&D, Gas-Hydro, and OSG.
