ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for all food preparation and execution of parties and other Flying Horse events to include guest and member interactions while on an action station. Must be willing to learn new equipment and new ways of executing banquets.
- Comply with the conditions of the Food Health and Safety regulations and sanitation policies
- Be able to effectively and efficiently prepare and organize ingredients per BEO
- Ensure that all products meet a specific quality standard
- Cook food according to recipes, quality and presentation standards in a timely manner
- Must be diverse in your culinary cooking techniques
- Handle member and guest request as a priority
- Follow proper food handling, holding, re-heating and cooling procedures
- Have a vast knowledge of worldly cooking techniques
- Maintain, clean and store all banquet equipment in between uses
- Support in maintaining a sufficient inventory of all products needed
- Provide positive and constructive feedback
- Professional communication between BOH and FOH staff about functions
- Responsible for all opening/closing and cleaning procedures.
- Demonstrates respect in all communications.
- Must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 50 lbs
- Follow cleaning schedules and lists for your section and other sections as directed
- It is the duty of all Food & Beverage personnel to promote a seamless line of communication between all staff and members
- May be expected to work according to the company overtime policies
- Must have an eye for detail when presenting buffets, platters, and platted. Artistic abilities are encouraged
- Depending on experience, should be able to mentor and guide peers
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
A minimum of two years of Commercial Kitchen experience is preferred. Must be detail oriented, accurate and possess good organizational abilities and be capable of handling multiple tasks simultaneously. Knowledge of Point of Sale operations is preferred.
Must possess customer service skills and strong oral communication skills. Competency in dealing with members and fellow employees under circumstances requiring tact and diplomacy. Must possess the ability to work effectively under time deadlines.
ADDITIONAL NOTES:
Will have contact with Golf Course superintendent, Golf Pro, Membership Director, Athletic Director, Food & Beverage personnel, and other industry related people and is to conduct relationships in a manner that will enhance the overall marketing and operational success of the company.
