High-Level Job Description:
Under the supervision of the VP of Public Relations, this full-time role will be responsible for the performance and success of public relations and custom media integration services for FlyteVu Agency and Client programs. The ideal candidate will be able to conceptualize campaigns strategically, lead effectively, strengthen client relationships by ensuring overall campaign success, and provide always-on PR retainer clients with a results-driven and consistently high level of client service.
Detailed Job Description/Responsibilities:
- Responsible for leading and building Client press strategies and programs against assigned programs or retainers
- Craft compelling brand narratives through press and media from research, insights, and data, articulating findings in a clear way to project stakeholders
- Communicate and present plans to Clients as needed
- Deliver recommendations with an encyclopedic knowledge of public relations tools and tactics
- Bring strong consumer, entertainment, and ad/marketing trade media relationships to the table
- Have significant knowledge of affiliate marketing as it relates to public relations
- Advise on and manage PR deliverables for Talent to build successful programs that accomplish Client KPIs
- Activate against a strong, solid database of high-level media contacts and continuously build new relationships on a local, regional, and national level
- Draft and edit key messaging documents, press strategies, press releases, media alerts, and other required documents with excellent copywriting skills
- Pitch local, regional, and national press on behalf of Clients and FlyteVu to secure earned press placements and stories
- Responsible for the success of Client programs, including strategy adjustments mid-campaign or Crisis Communication responses
- Problem-solve creatively and be solution-focused
- Effectively communicate internally and externally in a manner consistent with the company’s Code of Conduct and core values
- Cultivate and maintain key relationships with publicists, managers, and agents within the entertainment industry
- Cultivate key relationships with FlyteVu clients, agency partners, and 3rd party vendors
- Explore, vet, negotiate, and manage media integrations and partnerships
- If applicable, manage assigned direct reports on a day-to-day basis: supervise, lead, train, and inspire direct reports with best practices and sound recommendations, assist them in prioritizing projects and deadlines for completion
- Input into project scopes and press requirements in collaboration with Account leads and ensure execution of appropriate budget forecasting and planning
- Create and adjust internal processes to ensure efficient communication between FlyteVu PR and the other FlyteVu internal teams, including Accounts, Creative, Talent, and Production
- Demonstrate a desire for continued learning of changes and innovation within the arts, tech, and media industries
- Understand how changes in the ever-evolving media landscape affect Clients, campaigns, and FlyteVu Agency and provide ongoing recommendations for how to adjust strategies beyond traditional media to accomplish objectives
- Forecast trends and present new opportunities in public relations and media to agency leadership with clear recommendations to grow business and teams and Handle and safeguard confidential and proprietary information
- Able and willing to work during non-business hours as needed or required to fulfill job requirements

Required Competencies/Skills:
- 10 years of public relations, specializing in entertainment, music, consumer media, and brands
- Must be based in Nashville, TN, and willing to be in the office Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday on a weekly basis
- Strong communication and time management skills
- Excellent command of English grammar and spelling
- Ability to develop 360 marketing campaigns
- Must be able to prioritize multiple tasks with varying deadlines
- Must be open to travel
- Work well under pressure
- Entrepreneurial self-starter with the ability to work with ambiguity at times
- Ability to think ahead independently and challenge oneself to learn and grow
- Must lead by example and foster a supportive environment for the agency
- Proficient in the use of MS Office Suite, Apple Keynote

Education Required:
Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
