Overview
The Nashville Convention & Visitors Corp. is seeking a dynamic Senior Director of Public Relations to lead strategic communications efforts. This role focuses on securing impactful media coverage to promote Nashville as a premier tourism destination. As part of the Marketing team, this role reports to the Chief Marketing Officer. The position requires a blend of high-level strategic thinking and hands-on execution of day-to-day activities including strong writing and editing skills. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and is both a team player and a leader. This is a full-time, Nashville-based office position.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Media Relations :
- Develop and execute a comprehensive public relations strategy that elevates Nashville’s image as a top tourism destination and helps drive visitation.
- Proactively secure feature stories and high-profile media placements with regional, national, and international outlets.
- Lead and facilitate group and individual press trips as well as proactively pitching Nashville to media including travel, lifestyle, entertainment outlets and more.
