What are the responsibilities and job description for the 1st Shift-AZ Maintenance Technician II position at FM Industries?
The Maintenance Technician will work with the facility and maintenance team and conduct training to facility technicians as needed. They are responsible for general maintenance and repair work, and to fix and maintain machines, mechanical equipment, and buildings. They may paint, repair flooring, and work on plumbing, electrical, network, phone, and air-conditioning and heating systems.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Perform coolant, oil, and filter changes
- Rebuild and repair pumps, motors, actuators, and support equipment
- Install shop air systems air lines, work with electrician to pull electrical wires, and complete installations of 120-480V systems
- Conduct inspections, and contractor support and scheduling
- CNC conveyer repair and upgrades and electrical diagnostics
- Basic CNC operations, startup, shutdown, and movement – learn to perform Ball Bar and schedule laser alinement
- Maintain, repair & upgrade the physical condition of properties
- Prioritize and perform service requests in a timely manner
- Perform regular inspections of the property
- Interact with a wide range of people and be personable and trustworthy
- Working knowledge of electricity, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and refurbishing
- Must be willing to perform or assign any task that is required (i.e., janitorial, gardening, etc.)
- Service appliances, equipment, plumbing, electrical systems, etc.
- Install Shop Air Drops, Electrical Drops, and Network Drops
- Routine pest control maintenance
- Comply with applicable environmental, health and safety laws and regulations, Company policy and accepted safe work practices
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- 3 years Maintenance experience, manufacturing environment preferred
- Basic Reading, writing, and math
- Working knowledge of electricity, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and refurbishing
- Self-directed, well organized, and motivated
- High attention to detail
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Computer proficiency (Excel, Word)
PHYSICAL DEMANDS WHILE PERFORMING THE JOB:
- Standing for long periods of time, walking, pushing, pulling, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. Reaching overhead, using hands to finger, handle, or feel; reaching with hands and arms; and talking and/or hearing instructions and sounds
- Repetitive hand, wrist, arm, and shoulder movements
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds
