About FM Meat Products
FM Meat products is a state of the art beef processing plant located on Fort McCoy Ranch in Florida. Our animals are raised on the ranch to avoid transporting them long distances. We harvest (slaughter), fabricate (debone) and ship (logistics) grass fed the beef and ready to eat products such as hot dogs. We are currently looking for two maintenance mechanics with experience in hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical, welding and anhydrous ammonia experience. Job purpose
To keep the freezers and coolers at peak operating capacity with the least amount of downtime at minimal cost while adhering to all federal, state and local safety rules, regulations, and guidelines.
Duties and responsibilities
- Maintain HVAC equipment. This involves walking up steps and ladders, working in elevated areas, lifting and carrying at least 50 lbs.
- Maintain water systems. Must be skilled in repair of water pipes.
- Maintain compressed air systems.
- Maintain industrial refrigeration systems.
- Accurately complete PSM documentation to assure adherence to PSM Plan. Requires intermediate reading and writing skills.
- Must pass fit test and physical evaluation for using SCBA or other protective devices.
- Maintain troubleshoot, and repair manufacturing, utility and facility equipment and share knowledge of applicable electrical and mechanical concepts with other maintenance personnel.
- Utilize existing and future maintenance management systems effectively. Ensure all documentation is accurate, timely and complete.
- Perform scheduled maintenance tasks as assigned. Must be able to execute position requirement with little or no supervision. Perform other and incidental duties as assigned.
- The ability to communicate technical applications, scenarios, and solutions to a non-technical audience.
- Effectively manage contractors.

Working conditions
When in a plant environment : Exposure primarily consists of wet and moist floors which include metal and plastic grating surfaces. May be exposed to temperatures of 28 degrees to 100 degrees Fahrenheit with both ambient and 100% humidity. May handle product 25 degrees to 50 degrees Fahrenheit.
Physical requirements
May be exposed to noise ranges of 50 db to 110 db. Must wear and use protective and safety equipment required for the job as directed by the Company. Able to stand for several hours. Work may include lifting (up to 50 lbs), reaching, bending, pushing boxes on conveyor assembly.
