Job Title: Manager of Quality Control & Quality Assurance

Reports To: General Manager or/and VP of R&D
Job Summary:
The Manager of Quality Control & Quality Assurance is a senior leadership role responsible for leading and overseeing all aspects of quality control and quality assurance in the cosmetic manufacturing process. This position plays a critical role in ensuring that products meet stringent quality standards, regulatory compliance, and customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Quality Control and Assurance Strategy:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive QC and QA strategy aligned with the company's goals.
- Set and maintain quality control standards, processes, and procedures.
- Continuously improve and optimize QC and QA systems and processes.
2. Quality Management System (QMS):
- Establish and maintain a robust Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with industry regulations.
- Ensure effective documentation and adherence to quality standards, including ISO, GMP, and other relevant certifications.
- Conduct regular internal audits to assess compliance with QMS.
3. Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead and manage the QC and QA teams, providing leadership, guidance, and mentoring.
- Set performance goals, conduct performance evaluations, and develop improvement plans.
- Foster a culture of quality, teamwork, and continuous improvement within the department.
4. Quality Control:
- Oversee product inspections, tests, and sampling to verify adherence to specifications.
- Monitor production processes to identify and resolve quality issues promptly.
- Collaborate with production, R&D, and other departments to ensure quality is integrated into product development.
5. Regulatory Compliance:
- Stay updated with industry regulations, standards, and best practices related to cosmetics manufacturing.
- Ensure all products meet regulatory requirements, including FDA, Health Canada, and international standards.
- Collaborate with regulatory affairs teams to facilitate product registrations and compliance.
6. Documentation and Reporting:
- Manage and maintain quality documentation, records, and reports.
- Prepare and distribute quality metrics and KPIs to relevant stakeholders.
- Investigate and report on customer complaints, non-conformities, and corrective actions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Chemistry, Biology, Quality Assurance).
- Extensive experience in quality control and quality assurance roles, with a proven track record in cosmetics manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of industry-specific regulations, standards, and certifications.
- Leadership, team management, and strategic planning skills.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
