FNA Group is a dynamic organization with unprecedented growth, due largely to its ability to attract and retain highly talented associates. We have a Quality Assurance Technician position available within FNA's Fabrication department in Decatur, AR.
Primary Purpose:
Coordinate and perform visual and dimensional inspections on vendor products and manufactured products. Perform In-Process audits on internal fabricated parts; backup/ support for quality inspectors online.
Job Description and Responsibilities:
- Perform in process inspections.
- Perform first article inspections.
- Perform operational testing and visual inspections on parts/assemblies.
- Perform dimensional inspections on manufactured components.
- Record inspection data onto reporting documents as directed.
- Maintain a clean, organized work area.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Able to communicate and work well with others
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to use simple and test equipment to set up and run tests, to set priorities with minimal supervision
- Knowledge of hand tools used for dimensional inspections (caliper, micrometer, thread gauges, etc)
- General knowledge of quality assurance/quality control function
- Some heavy lifting could be required (up to 85 pounds)
- Ability to read & interpret documents
Education/Certification:
- High School Diploma/GED
- Previous Quality Assurance experience preferred, but not required

Other duties could include working in other areas to provide support during absences/shortage of staff.

Safety:
- Interpret company policies to workers and enforce safety regulations
- Initiate and maintain proper and necessary safety equipment as prescribed by law
- Operate tools, equipment, and machinery according to prescribed safety procedures
- Follow established safety procedures and techniques while performing job duties
- Correct unsafe conditions in work area and report any conditions that are not correctable to supervisor immediately
