JOB SUMMARY
The Lender assists in the evaluation, structuring, and approval of agricultural and commercial loan applications under the supervision of senior lending professionals. This entry-level lending position involves analyzing financial information, conducting credit assessments, and supporting clients in their financial needs. The Lender plays a vital role in maintaining strong client relationships while ensuring compliance with lending policies and regulations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

- Support CLO with existing loan portfolio by managing loan requests from application to closing.
- Review and analyze financial statements, credit reports, and other relevant documentation to assess loan applications.
- Support senior lenders in the preparation of loan proposals and presentations for internal committees.
- Conduct site visits and interviews with potential borrowers to gather additional information.
- Assist in the monitoring of existing loan portfolios, identifying any signs of financial distress or compliance issues.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for all lending activities in accordance with regulatory standards. Post closing-servicing to include clearing exceptions.
- Collaborate with underwriting, compliance, and risk management teams to ensure thorough loan evaluation processes.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries and guiding them through the lending process.
- Comply with all BSA and regulatory requirements and complete appropriate documentation.
- Establish and maintain productive community and professional organization relationships and represent the Bank at local networking functions by promoting and developing new business for the Bank and enhancing the Bank’s visibility.
- Carry out other such duties as may be assigned or directed.
Requirements
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Some college is preferred, but a high school diploma, or equivalent is required.
- Agricultural education, experience, or background is required.
- Experience with lending institutions, real estate or related fields preferred.
- Exposure to commercial lending or banking through internships or relevant coursework is preferred.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and familiar with financial analysis tools.
