Overview : Join our dynamic team as a Logistics Operations Specialist, where you will play a critical role in the coordination, execution, and management of international and domestic shipments. This position may requires excellent organizational skills, strong communication abilities, and a thorough understanding of freight forwarding and compliance regulations.
Responsibilities
- Coordination of Shipments : Plan and coordinate the transportation of goods, including arranging for air, sea, or land transport based on customer needs and cargo specifications.
- Documentation Management : Prepare and manage all necessary documentation for shipments, such as bills of lading, commercial invoices, packing lists, and customs declarations.
- Carrier Negotiation : Negotiate rates and terms with carriers and ensure that the most cost-effective and efficient shipping methods are used.
- Compliance and Regulations : Ensure all shipments comply with relevant regulations, including international trade laws, customs requirements, and safety standards.
- Client Communication : Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing updates on shipment status, addressing inquiries, and resolving any issues that may arise.
- Problem Resolution : Address and resolve any issues related to shipment delays, damaged goods, or customs complications in a timely manner.
- Tracking and Reporting : Monitor and track shipments to ensure timely delivery and provide regular updates and reports to clients and management.
- Inventory Management : Coordinate with warehouses and logistics partners to manage inventory levels and ensure proper storage and handling of goods.
- Cost Management : Monitor and manage transportation costs, seek opportunities for cost reduction, and ensure accurate billing and invoicing.
Qualifications
The base salary range for this role is between $70,000 - $90,000 / Salary, and your base salary will depend on your experiences, qualifications, and skills.
