The Advocacy for Children Project Administrator position exists to facilitate general administration, plan, and manage projects, activities, and tactical implementation, specifically concerning all aspects of Advocacy for Children initiatives. Updates and maintains Advocacy websites and provides improvement and guidance. Planning includes requirements collection, knowing internal resources and dependances, development of project plans with schedule, allocation of resources and cost estimates. Provides project status information at regular intervals and when requested. Requires general supervision and refers questionable matters to supervisor.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- Understands project objectives and scope requirements for Advocacy initiatives
- Assists Director with the implementation of both internal and external Advocacy reach efforts
- Facilitates project management of a cross-functional team for Advocacy for Children programs & events
- Interfaces with other departments within the ministry and/or outside contacts to exchange information, answer inquiries, consult on problems, and secure cooperation or approval on action to be taken
- Keeps project team well informed of applicable changes and information updates
- Resolves and/or escalates issues in a timely manner
- Assists with creating, modifying, maintaining, and implementing program documentation; assists in the creation of necessary reports tracking impact of annual programs; provides input into improving reporting requirements and historical report Participates in post-project reviews
- Assists with the implementation of strategic plans and business plans for accomplishing program goals and objectives
- Coordinates the implementation of technical requirements and services necessary to develop, maintain, or improve programs, services, and events
- Assists in developing schedules and timelines in support of various project and budget guidelines
- Work with different departments to get a job done, clearly communicating the milestones for a project, following through in a timely manner on all assigned parts of a project, promptly responding to requests for information
- May supplement data research support
- Shares the responsibility of general administrative duties for the Advocacy for Children area (examples: phone coverage, electronic filing, greeting guests, responding to general inquiries, etc.)
- Performs other duties as assigned

Personal Characteristics:
- Detail-oriented, flexible, coachable/teachable, self-motivated, organized, dependable, and team-oriented
- Hard-working, honest, problem solver, works well with other people
- Not afraid to question or constructively challenge current habits of FOF
- Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Business, or equivalent experience
- 2-4 years related experience
- Working knowledge of FOF mission, philosophy, values, and objectives, as well as budget guidelines
- Ability to sort through traditional or historic corporate approaches or stated limitations and develop innovative and creative ways to solve problems
- Creativity, imagination, team oriented, and ability to influence others
- Understands the use of websites and website development to educate, motivate, and inspire a target audience
- Ability to communicate and interact effectively at all levels
- Proficient in use of computer hardware and software including Microsoft Office,
- Ability to use judgment to solve moderately complex problems within the limits of standard policy and practice
