What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Assistant position at Focus Residential Group LLC?
Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities:
· All grounds maintenance of Focus Residential Group, LLC properties
· General upkeep of facility buildings and equipment
· Maintaining maintenance records and Focus equipment
· Explore safety solutions and recommend safety improvements to property owners
· Maintenance repairs: plumbing, sheetrock, drains, gravelling lots, appliances, lighting, as needed.
· Building and repairing assigned projects
· Operating outdoor equipment: tractors, lawnmowers, weed eaters, etc
· Snow removal of grounds for employee and client safety, ensure snow melt/salt is available for dispensing for safety of walkways
· Fueling Focus vehicles daily or as needed
· Monitoring Focus vehicles for needed repairs and upkeep; oil changes, tire rotation and changes, cleanliness etc
· Report risk management issues to the Operations Manager
· Report questionable client comments, visitors, passerby to clinical director for safety
· Collaborate with Operations Manager’s to problem solve and create solutions for safer grounds on an ongoing basis.
· Responds to emergency maintenance requests as emergencies arise
· Handles construction contracting vendors; quotes, scheduling, etc

Qualifications:
· High school diploma or GED or equivalent
· Knowledge of general household maintenance and repairs
· 5 years of experience in General Maintenance
· Confidential and trustworthy
· Must be organized, detail oriented with the ability to maintain confidentiality in accordance with CFR 42 Part 2 and HIPPA regulations
· Understanding or background in dealing with AoD clients and their families.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Valid driver's license with proof of vehicle insurance
Maintain current American Red Cross CPR/1st Aid certification
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to communicate in person or by telephone. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, reach, bend; use hands and fingers, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; and reach with hands and arms. The employee may need to sit for extended periods of time. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
Work Environment:
These characteristics are representative of those an employee may encounter performing the essential functions of the job. The employee works with alcohol and/or drug dependent individuals where a high degree of stress is possible. The position does not normally involve exposure to blood, body fluids or tissues; but it may require performing unplanned tasks where exposure may occur. The position requires the use of standard precautions.
Conditions of Employment:
Satisfactorily pass pre-employment drug screen and random drug/alcohol screening
Satisfactory reference and background investigation checks
Completion of a FBI/BCI background check prior to hire/working first shift.
Completion of tuberculin screening no later than three days prior to the new employee's first work day and annually thereafter
Completion of organization-wide employee orientation and ALL required paperwork prior to reporting to work
Completion of Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI/De-escalation) Training
Infection Prevention and Cultural Awareness employee training Completion of CPR/First Aid Training
Attendance at all mandatory staff developments and trainings
Successful completion of a six-month on-the-job orientation period
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 36 – 40 per week
