We are seeking Interim Accountant to work with a dynamic and growing industrial business in Puyallup, WA. Critical skills and experience for this role include:
- Responsible for period-end closing activities including the accurate preparation of journal entries, intercompany entries, and allocations
- Previous experience with Quickbooks is required
- Support various audit activities by providing timely and accurate information to fulfill audit requests and prepare for upcoming audit
- Strong skills in financial reporting
- Ensure tax and insurance records are current
- Support the cash flow management for the company including communicating with banks, customers, and subcontractors
- Responsible for daily accounting tasks including AP/AR, banking, and payroll
- Knowledge of local and state labor laws, prevailing wage, and industry regulatory guidelines related to compliance, renewals, and licensing
- Previous experience in industrial, drilling, heavy equipment, or construction industry highly desired
- Ability to document financial processes and best practices for organization going forward
- Adept at managing a diverse range of financial functions and working collaboratively across the organization
- Attention to detail combined with an ability to prioritize and manage time efficiently
- Ability to analyze data and problem solve effectively
Hours-32 hours per week to start/24 hours per week following initial 2-4 week start-up
Location: Onsite in Puyallup, WA-4 days per week in office
