What are the responsibilities and job description for the Paraprofessionals (URGENT) position at Focused Staffing?
Title: Paraprofessionals
Compensation: $20 per hour
Expected hours: 37.5 hours per week
Schedule: Monday to Friday
Location: Woodhaven Rd, Philadelphia, PA 19154
Qualifications/Required Skills:
- Two-year associate degree required for Para-educators
- Applicants must possess all current PA state clearances (Police, Child Abuse and Fingerprinting)
- Knowledge of Special Education regulations and procedures
- Experience working with students exhibiting multiple disabilities, including: autism, ADD and ADHD, learning disabilities, emotional challenges, and developmental delays
- Excellent communication and teaching skills
- Positive, student-centered, and compassionate individual
- Experience with diagnostic assessments
- Understanding of Progress Monitoring and data collection
Experience:
- Special education: 1 year (Required)
- working with students exhibiting multiple disabilities: 2 years (Preferred)
- working with students with emotional challenges: 2 years (Preferred)
- working with students with developmental delays: 2 years (Preferred)
