Position: Paraprofessional
Rate: $20 to $25 per hour
Focused Staffing Group seeks an experienced Paraprofessional with Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) Certification to join our partner school in Philadelphia, PA.
The Paraprofessional will assist the teacher with responsibilities that include but are not limited to lesson plans, interacting and engaging with students and families, and scheduled activities. They will also work collaboratively with teachers in other disciplines and the residential staff responsible for the elementary grade students and participate fully in the college academic and residential community. An imaginative and exciting classroom management style and the ability to effectively model and implement the school's mission and core values is a must.
Responsibilities:
- Assists students individually or in small groups
- Assists students with technology devices
- Assists in conducting scheduled activities
- Assist in building good character
- Assists in the development of instructional materials
- Escorts and monitors students as requested
- Performs other related duties as assigned
- Demonstrate ability in written and oral communication in the English language
- This position is exempt from the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Must have at least 60 college credits, Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
- Must have Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification
- At least one year of relevant experience in an educational or childcare setting
- Strong ability to work with children
- Strong collaboration skills; team player
- Effective multi-tasker: can prioritize tasks based on importance
Salary : $20 - $25
