Job Overview:
FOCUSPOINT is seeking an experienced Medical Collections Specialist for one of our clients. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in B2B collections and dispute resolution. You will be responsible for managing outstanding accounts, maintaining relationships with suppliers, and ensuring timely collections of payments.

Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor accounts to identify outstanding debts and manage a portfolio of clients for collections.
- Contact customers to secure payments on past-due balances and set up payment plans as needed.
- Process payments, refunds, and resolve billing or customer credit issues.
- Research payment discrepancies, address discrepancies between reporting and payments, and provide resolutions.
- Acknowledge customer emails and/or calls within 24-48 hours.
- Resolve supplier reporting issues to minimize payment disputes.
- Update account status records and document collection efforts.
- Report on collection activity and accounts receivable status.
- Meet productivity and quality expectations while effectively organizing and prioritizing tasks.
- Prefer candidates proficient in MS Excel, including basic formulas, pivot tables, and charts.
Qualifications:
- 2-3 years of B2B collections and/or Accounts Receivable experience
- Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree preferred
- High school diploma or GED required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook and Excel (v-lookups and pivot tables a plus)
- Strong communication skills, both written and spoken
- Ability to establish and maintain long-term customer relationships
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with others
- Analytical skills to balance and reconcile records
