What are the responsibilities and job description for the BIM Manager position at Fogarty Finger?
Responsibilities:
· Create new streamlined BIM workflows for Fogarty Finger.
· Audit projects and guide others through the learning process when dealing with BIM software complexities.
· Standardize custom BIM templates and Revit families and manage library of families based on firm standards.
· With a team will coordinate, produce construction documents and maintain, optimize and improve the efficiency and accuracy of a BIM model from the conception phase of a project.
· Enhance the Firm’s design aesthetics by integrating Revit into the existing collaborative design process.
· Responsible for training, coaching and supporting staff in Revit.
· Work with senior staff to further develop current firm practices, standards, and tools to optimize efficiency and accuracy of BIM.
· Coordinate with consultants to integrate their design/documentation methodologies to facilitate consistent and reliable transfer of information.
· Research and recommend related emerging design technologies and digital design for future integration.
· Build complex Revit models and families, including building façade elements including curtain panels and windows.
· Manage and maintain all Autodesk BIM 360 or ACC projects for the firm.
· Conduct weekly BIM Meetings with all Revit project teams while working with Project Managers to make sure deadlines and expectations are met.
Requirements:
· 7-10 years relevant post-graduate US architectural practice with experience pertaining to all phases of development and documentation (specializing in ground up, high rise, or mid-rise work)
· Professional architectural degree or master’s degree from an accredited institution
· Demonstrable advanced experience in Revit and related software including third party plug ins
· Additional knowledge of AutoCAD, SketchUp and Dynamo preferred
· Interest and experience in emerging digital design and computation technologies and related software applications and practices
· Strong knowledge of architectural design details and the construction administration process
· Ability to communicate and coordinate effectively with consultants, colleagues, and contractors
· Ability to work on short time frames and meet deadlines
· Desire and ability to work in a fast-paced and rigorous environment and is a self-starter
