What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sommelier - Fine Dining position at Foley Entertainment Group LLC?
Pay Range: The starting pay for this position is $16.00 per hour service charges. This is the pay range for this position that Farmhouse Inn reasonably expects to pay.
Position Requirements:
Conduct wine service and sales at The Restaurant at Farmhouse Inn. This includes not only bottle sales, but also selling and servicing Wine and Beverage Pairings with our Tasting Menu experience.
With the guidance of the F&B director, be able to procure and purchase wines to build out our wine list and wine pairing experience.
Maintain a clean and organized wine cellar. This includes taking in wine deliveries, unpacking, and putting all product away.
Work with the Chef on wine pairings for the menu.
Alongside Captains and other Front of House Staff, be able to conduct all other aspects of service, including running food, seating guests, clearing and marking tables, and taking payments.
Take the lead with polishing all glassware used for service.
Sommelier will, from time to time, assist Guests with wine service at Farmstand Restaurant, Pool, In Room Dining, banquets, or ticketed events such as wine dinners.
Assist Captains in all aspects of setting up the dining room space and Farmhouse Building for service.
Conduct regular wine training for Front of House Staff, including on how to conduct wine pairings with guests.
Assist guests via email, phone, or any other device to decide on wines prior to visiting.
Maintain wine list, as well as print new copies as they get old, or to maintain list as ‘up to date’ as possible.
From time to time, conduct wine education courses with Hotel Guests.
From time to time, assist GM or Director of Food and Beverage with any additional beverage related projects and tasks.
