What are the responsibilities and job description for the Financial Analyst position at Foley Equipment?
The Financial Analyst is responsible for financial reporting, variance analysis, and the budgeting and forecasting process. Collaborate with business leaders across the organization to monitor financial performance, identify trends, and provide recommendations to improve efficiency and profitability.
What You Will Do In This Role:
- Prepare and present financial reports to management, highlighting key trends and insights.
- Lead the preparation of the Monthly Financial Review package, providing commentary on variances from the plan, forecast, and prior year.
- Collaborate with business partners to develop and maintain driver-based financial models to support strategic decision-making and improve operational efficiencies
- Partner with management to complete the budget, forecast, and strategic planning process
- Assist leadership in evaluating business cases and assessing the ROI of capital investments
- Work together with IT and BI to create new datasets that support financial analysis and reportingOversee implementation efforts for new Accounting or Finance systems and applications.
- Create documentation for Accounting or Finance system processes and train users.
- Challenge the status quo driving continuous improvement amongst the FP&A team.
- Travel is required for training and/or to assist at other locations.
Our Ideal Candidate:
- Strong knowledge and understanding of the income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statements.
- Knowledge and ability to work with transaction level accounting data.
- Highly skilled at working with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work with PowerBI or other data visualization tools.
- Working knowledge and ability to work with databases.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Naturally curious.
- Effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to take ownership and manage multiple projects with competing priorities.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field is required with 3 to 5 years prior financial analyst experience
- Experience with PowerBI or other data visualization tools.
