Job Title: Beverage Waitperson

Probationary Period: 90 days – Full time; 120 days – Part time
FLSA Status: Non-exempt
Classification: Class C Gaming Licensure
Driver’s License: No license required
Rate of pay: $10.59 to $11.11 plus tips
- Responsibilities: · Provides service to the Casino customer as a sales and delivery person for any beverage or item provided by the Bar.
· Maintains an efficient and clean workplace as required. Complies with all sanitary regulations of the Department of Health.
· Responsible for all cash advances and accountable for all cash sales. Completes all necessary documentation for cash advance and sales accountability.
· As necessary, may assume the duties of the bartender while the bartender is on break.
· Recognizes that employees have certain personal responsibilities, which affect the operational efficiency of the Casino. Maintains proper attendance in accordance with Casino policy. Reports to work on time in accordance with Casino policy. Provides adequate notice to supervisor prior to absence or lateness in accordance with Casino policy.
· Due to changes and modifications in the job from time to time, we require employees to be flexible and assume other responsibilities assigned by management as management sees the necessity. Some assignments may not be listed in this description at this time. Stock wait area properly.
· Appropriate work attire is required.
· Department uniform is required and provided to the employees, which must be worn during scheduled work hours unless prior arrangements have been made with management.
· Must attend all mandatory department trainings.
· Must attend all required Title 31 and/or SAR trainings.
· Ensures confidentiality of financial records and all records for employees, band members and/or clients.
· Displays a responsive and professional manner in promptly responding to all requests, complaints, and problems.
· Recognizes that each employee is a representative of the Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa and is responsible for demonstrating courtesy, respect, and sensitivity to the needs of all others, including visitors and co-workers.
· Represents the Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa and the department in a positive and professional manner in the community.
· Required to maintain proper attendance including reporting to work on time in accordance with applicable policies.
· Maintains a clean and organized work area.
· Due to changes and modifications in the job from time to time, employees are required to be flexible and assume other responsibilities assigned by management as deemed necessary.
- Qualifications: · Minimum age of 18.
· Ability to relate well with the public.
· Must meet the requirements of the Minnesota Chippewa Tribal Liquor Ordinance.
· Alcohol Awareness Training is required and will be provided.
· Knowledge of personal cleanliness standards and ability to confirm to good hygienic practices.
· Mathematical aptitude.
· Operations are conducted seven days a week and on holidays.
· Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing is required.
· Ability to work independently and establish priorities is required.
· Attention to detail and accuracy is required.
· Ability to establish professional and harmonious working relationships on all projects and with all parties involved.
· Subject to drug and alcohol testing in accordance with the Fond du Lac Reservation’s Personnel Policies.
· Subject to pre-employment and annual background checks.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
· Sedentary work with walking and standing required.
· Subject to inside environmental conditions, including work in a smoking environment.
· Some lifting and carrying up to 25 pounds is required.
· Ability to obtain a gaming identification badge to work in and around Casino property and facilities.
