Probationary Period: 90 days Full-Time, 120 days Part-Time
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt (Hourly)
Classification: Child-Related CA
Driver’s License: Level 3
Rate of Pay : $17.31 to $19.47/hour
- Responsibilities: Transport clients to health and social service resources when client has no other means of transportation, in accordance with Reservation/CHR transportation policies.
- Due to changes and modifications in the job from time to time, employees are required to be flexible and assume other responsibilities assigned by management as deemed necessary.
Deliver prescription medications as directed.
Submit required reports on time.
Must be accountable for time throughout the workday.
Work cooperatively with staff and community agencies.
Refer clients to other health and/or social service resources when necessary.
Make periodic visits to community members in hospitals, rest homes, and other health facilities.
Appropriate/Professional work attire is required.
Must attend mandatory department meetings and trainings.
Ensures confidentiality of financial records and all records for employees and/or clients.
Displays a responsive and professional manner in promptly responding to all requests, complaints, and problems.
Recognizes that each employee is a representative of the Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa and is responsible for demonstrating courtesy, respect, and sensitivity to the needs of all others, including visitors and co-workers.
Represents the Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa and the department in a positive and professional manner in the community.
Required to maintain proper attendance including reporting to work on time in accordance with applicable policies.
Maintains a clean and organized work area.
- Qualifications: Valid U.S. Class D Driver’s License with Fond du Lac Insurability is required.
- Normal physical requirements.
High school diploma or G.E.D. is preferred.
Must be willing to work outside of regular office hours as needed.
Maintains a clean and reliable vehicle.
Knowledge of Native American communities, culture, customs and beliefs is preferred.
Experience working with Native American clients, communities and is able to demonstrate cultural sensitivity is preferred.
Two years of community organizing and/or advocacy work is preferred.
Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing is required.
Ability to work independently and establish priorities is required.
Attention to detail and accuracy is required.
Ability to establish professional and harmonious working relationships on all projects and with all parties involved.
Subject to drug and alcohol testing in accordance with the Fond du Lac Reservation’s Personnel Policies.
Subject to pre-employment and annual background checks.
Travel is required.
