Full job description
The Assistant Director of Nursing is a key member of the Fondulac Leadership Team who will integrate and coordinate a patient-centric nursing strategy with a keen focus on patient care. The primary purpose of your position is to assist the Director of Nursing in planning, organizing, developing, and directing the day-to-day function of the Nursing Service Department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern our Facility, and as may be directed by the Administrator, the Medical Director, and / or the Director of Nursing Services to ensure the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times.
Responsibilities :
- Treat and care for residents and their property with dignity and respect.
- Work cooperatively with healthcare team members to maintain established standards of care.
- Manage patients' data and medical records as confidential records.
- Communicate with doctors, patients, and family members about patient health.
- Ensure the nursing unit is compliant with all local, state, and federal regulations.
- Assist in training and onboarding new nursing staff.
- Assist in implementing new procedures and training Nurses on policies.
- Assist with the care planning process. Develop / implement quality assurance and risk management programs.
- Make daily rounds to direct employees' work, observe for hazards and work duty problems, and ensure services are delivered to clients consistent with needs.
- Assist with continuous quality improvement and corrective follow-up actions.
- Complete other duties at the discretion of management.
