Fontaine Bros., Inc. is seeking a hands-on, highly skilled and motivated Controller to join our team. Reporting directly to the CFO, this role will oversee and manage the accounting and finance department while handling a variety of daily tasks. The ideal candidate possesses a strong background in accounting, with a focus on accurate reporting, internal controls, team leadership, and leveraging technology to streamline processes, enhance reporting capabilities, and drive overall efficiency

Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelors degrees in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent preferred
- Minimum 7-10 years of accounting experience, with at least 3-5 years in a managerial or supervisory role within the construction industry preferred but not required.
- Strong knowledge of construction industry financials, including project cost accounting
- Solid understanding of GAAP and regulatory requirements relevant to the construction industry.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage and mentor a team.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite, Sage 300 CRE, and Textura preferred but not required.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to see the big picture.
- Able to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize effectively and self-manage.
