POSITION OVERVIEW
The Bar Manager is responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality and efficient cocktail service to our guests while leadings a team of talented cocktail servers and maintain a vibrant and energetic atmosphere on the casino floor.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The following and other duties may be assigned as necessary:
- Lead, train, and motivate a team of cocktail servers to deliver exceptional service and maintain a positive and professional work environment
- Set performance expectations, provide regular feedback, conduct performance evaluations, and address any performance or disciplinary issues
- Coordinate scheduling, ensuring appropriate staffing levels to meet service demands while adhering to budgetary guidelines
- Collaborate with the Director and other stakeholders to curate a well-rounded selection of spirits, wines, and other beverages
- Establish and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) for cocktail service, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to safety and sanitation regulations
- Monitor and maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization in the service bars ensuring all equipment is in proper working condition
- Set the highest standard for guest service, ensuring that all interactions with guests are professional, welcoming, and exceed their expectations
- Foster a vibrant and engaging atmosphere on the casino floor
- Address guest concerns and complaints promptly, seeking resolutions to maintain a positive guest experience
- Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs for cocktail servers, focusing on product knowledge, guest service, and responsible alcohol service
- Provide ongoing coaching and mentorship to enhance the skills and knowledge of the team
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and licensing requirements related to the service of alcohol
- Promote responsible alcohol service practices and enforce age verification procedures
- Conduct regular inspections to identify and mitigate potential safety hazards, taking appropriate corrective actions
- Temporary or permanent duties and responsibilities may be added to or modified as deemed necessary
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Two (2) years managing cocktail services, preferably in a high-volume casino or hospitality environment
- Extensive knowledge of mixology, spirits, wines, and cocktails, including a strong understanding of flavor profiles and the ability to create innovative and exciting drink menus.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in overall cocktail & lounge operations
- Complete knowledge of health and safety regulations
- Must have basic knowledge of Microsoft Office software
- Knowledge, understanding, and compliance of policies and procedures, job descriptions, daily memorandums, statutory requirements regarding health and safety, sanitation, proper chemical usage, fire procedures, and HACCP
- Ability to execute on guidelines for proper staffing to maximize efficiency and minimize labor costs
- Strong overall knowledge of drink menu preparation and presentation
- Proficient in operational financial management accountability and budgeting
- Excellent interpersonal skills to deal effectively with guests, management, Members, and other outside contacts
- Ability to provide leadership and direction contributing to the success of the organization through engaging, developing, and mentoring individuals and teams
- Ability to lead and mentor a team
- Ability to maintain knowledge of local competition and general industry trends
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Excellent organizational skills; be able to function under time constraints and deadlines with attention to detail
- Must be willing and able to work a flexible schedule to include holidays, nights, and weekends

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position will oversee all cocktail servers.
