POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for performing a wide variety of payroll functions which include payroll processing and customer relations. All responsibilities are to be performed in accordance with all laws and regulations, as well as Fontainebleau Las Vegas policies, practices, and procedures.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The following and other duties may be assigned as necessary:
- Run high volume on- and off-cycle payroll
- Review all errors in payroll batches to ensure all errors have been appropriately handled
- Ensure all payroll batches have appropriate back-up documentation and approvals prior to closing and disbursing the batches
- Ensure successful transmission of direct deposits by reconciling bank confirmations to payroll reports
- Serve as subject matter expert and trainer for time entry in the time and attendance module for all hourly Members
- Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices
- Assist Members and business partners with inquiries, concerns, or requests regarding payroll
- Research and resolve payroll issues in a timely manner
- Prepare and process stop payments, void checks, direct deposit reversals, and overpayment collections in accordance with company, federal, and state regulation
- Temporary or permanent duties and responsibilities may be added to or modified as deemed necessary
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

- High School Diploma required
- Six (6) or more months of experience in an accounting clerk role
- Ability to meet a constant stream of deadlines
- Capability to maintain confidentiality in a professional manner
- Demonstrated thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
- Advanced computer skills in MS Office, accounting software, and databases
- Ability to analyze large amounts of data and compile detailed reports
- Proven knowledge of payroll standards and procedures
- Sound independent judgment
- Attention to detail, organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills
- Must possess good mathematical and clerical skills
- Must be customer service-oriented with good communication skills
- Must be able to get along with co-workers and work as a team
- Must present a well-groomed appearance

Member must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state, and local regulations.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in English may also be required.
REASONING ABILITY
