The Original Fit Factory is seeking a full--time Payroll Specialist to join our team in Henderson, NV. This position will be responsible for payroll preparation and processing to support our fitness and wellness brands such as TruFusion, Niyama Sol, and Fit Factory USA. Main Responsibilities:
- Responsible for checking the accuracy and processing of payroll on a bi-weekly basis, as well as all other payroll related issues.
- Work within daily and weekly deadlines, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of payroll and related employee documentation.
- Support managers in maintaining accurate and up-to-date employee records, including assisting with the input of employee timecards and attendance records.
- Address payroll-related inquiries from employees and provide solutions in a timely and efficient manner.
- Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of payroll, human resources files and records.
- Support the organization and maintenance of payroll records, including terminations, status updates, employee actions, and garnishment documentation.
- Ensure smooth payroll operations by adhering to established policies and procedures
- Maintain discretion and judgement in handling the highest level of confidential information
- Provide support in generating payroll reporting for various purposes
- Assists in employee onboarding and offboarding activities
- Maintains compliance with federal, state and local employment laws and regulations and recommended best practices.
- Performs other related work activities as required
Experience Needed:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Associates degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in payroll processing, preferably for multiple entities and/or large teams of 150 employees
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as a part of a team
- Proven ability to provide quality customer service to employees via written and verbal communication.
- Proficiency with Microsoft programs: Excel, Outlook, Office 365 and Word required
- Experience working with a PEO preferred
- Experience with Mindbody online is a plus
