Title: Assistant Kitchen Manager
Full Time Position
Schedule: Mon - Friday (10:00 AM - 6:30 PM)
Rate: $20 per hour DOE.
Description: We are a non-profit organization that provides resources and services to individuals that are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless. One of the many services we offer is a meal program. We serve three meals a day Monday through Saturday, and lunch on Sundays and holidays.
As a Assistant Kitchen Manager, you will work under the direction of the kitchen supervisor and along with other kitchen staff. Your main responsibilities will be assisting with meal service (menu plan, preparation, service, clean up), facility and equipment management, directing volunteers, and receiving donations. Additional responsibilities include:
- Meal planning
- Meal preparation
- Receiving donations and keeping donor relations
- Food rotation and organization
- Dining room supervision
- Provide training and orientation for volunteers
- General kitchen and dining room cleanliness
- Facility and equipment maintenance including daily, weekly, and deep cleans
Qualifications: High School Diploma; Current Food Handlers permit or ServSafe certified. 3-5 years Experience with cooking and volunteer management preferred.
