What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fuel Inventory Specialist position at Food Bag?
The Fuel Inventory Specialist maintains daily fuel inventories for Food Bag Convenience stores as directed by the General Manager dispatching fuel orders for locations to Lincoln Oil and outside carriers based on need, market conditions and variances in sales due to circumstances such as weather, holiday traffic, construction, and competition. The Fuel Inventory Specialist handles administration paperwork as it pertains to freight, bill of ladings, payroll reporting, and computer entry for reconciliation reporting.

Education
• Minimum High School diploma or equivalent
• Annual training in Hazmat, Hazmat Security, Safety
Physical
• Able to sit at a desk and work on a keyboard 8 hours a day
• Able to hear and understand phone and 2 way communications
• Eyesight, with needed correction, must be sufficient to read and use a monitor at a distance of 18 inches
• Able to go up and down two flights of stairs several times a day
Travel
• Able to attend mandatory seminars
Key Duties and Responsibilities
• Receives data from the field and verifies the information
• Completes data entry of cost of fuel daily
• Contacts locations with retail gas price changes
• Analyzes reports looking for discrepancies; researching and correcting
• Maintains required reports for Lincoln Oil
• Reports issues timely to management
• Enters BOL delivery tickets in computer; makes sure location information is correct
• Analyzes fuel needs of locations and dispatches loads accordingly to prevent run outs, contacts out of state haulers by phone and/or email with load requests and sets up schedules for Lincoln oil drivers
• Enters and puts on checks for cost of freight for all haulers
• Creates and distributes daily, weekly, and monthly reports to appropriate departments and persons
• Processes corrections requested from other departments
• Monitors drivers hours so scheduled work week does not exceed DOT requirements
• Creates and maintains trip record quarterly reports
• Maintains communication with drivers, terminals, and vendors
• Ensures equipment is properly maintained and keeps records when the maintenance and required testing were done
• Communicates with the field regarding gas delivery needs, current gas volumes, location temporarily closed and competitors closed adjusting orders as needed
