Project Manager

Job Summary: The role of the IT Project Manager is to facilitate all activities associated with the achievement of project goals or deliverables. The main objective of this position is to work closely with business members to help formulate and define project requirements as it relates to business requirements and improving business processes. This position will be key to the project teams that are responsible for delivering top-tier projects within the Store Operations spaces.

Essential Job Functions:

• Manage multiple small, medium, and large complex projects from initiation to closure.
• Provide leadership to the project to maintain focus and continue progress.
• Communicate key objectives, scope, and success criteria to sponsors, management, and project team.
• Work closely with team members to gather business requirements and documents and communicate these requirements to others effectively.
• Provide project benefit analysis to assist management in determination of projects to pursue.
• Create project-related documents including, but not limited to, requests for proposals, project charters, project specification documents, project scope documents, schedules, budgets, and performance reports.
• Estimation and control of project costs and related budgeting.
• Development and management of a project team.
• Identify work packages and activities, estimate effort, assign activities, and monitor to ensure completion of activities and delivery of work packages as planned.
• Define and execute (as needed) change control processes.
• Develop a change management plan with sponsors and execute as needed.
• Project communications including stakeholder identification, updates, and performance reporting.
• Procurement of products and/or services including negotiation of terms and contract vetting to ensure a fair agreement is reached.
• Plan and oversight of quality assurance and control.
• Continuous improvement of project management skills both for the individual and the organization.
• Responsible for attending on-site work during normal business hours, in the typical work week, as well as extra time as needed to fulfill job duties.
• Ensure all aspects of company policy and procedures regarding good business and department practices are followed

Additional Job Functions:

• Create and provide direction / standards to managing the relationship between ITS and the business
• Create and maintain documentation standards.
• Understand and follow confidentiality policy regarding company information as well as personnel information.
• Other tasks assigned for completion as assigned by Direct Supervisor or Executive Company Official.
• Utilize time management skills and prioritization to accomplish tasks through management team and associates.
• Verification, completion, and distribution of vital department reports, management reports, documents, and paperwork via written, verbal, or e-mail to the appropriate individuals as deemed by supervision and/or policy.
• Complete documentation of activities as required.
• Follow all safety and security measures and guidelines.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Business or related field or 5 years experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate expectations to a team in a group setting when working on projects.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to delegate tasks to ensure all tasks are assigned to resources.
• Proven ability to work as part of and excel in a team environment.
• Ability to create and maintain documentation for project tracking purposes.
• Proven ability to develop processes to increase productivity and efficiency.
• Ability to communicate on a regular basis regarding project statuses to project team, project stakeholders and sponsors.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and/or written instructions, perform routine and repetitive tasks and have constant contact/interaction with various levels of individuals daily.
• Ability to attend on-site work during normal business hours, in the typical work week, as well as extra time as needed to fulfill job duties.
