Position Summary
Responsible for the development, production and distribution of Food Lion print advertising. Primary responsibilities include: management of the flyer production artists, production budget and development and execution of the ad process in conjunction with the SVP, VP, Marketing Directors, Category Management and Merchandising.
Principle duties and Responsibilities
- Manage the design, production and distribution of the Food Lion print flyer advertising. This includes over 13 million four color weekly inserts with over 100 versions.
- Manage the development and execution of over $20M budget in production costs.
- Supervise a department of 6 associates including graphic artists and vendor support managers.
- Responsible for production accuracy of all flyer materials.
- Manage the development of all flyer materials including working with the VP and Directors of Marketing, Category, and Merchandising to develop, implement and communicate print advertising schedules.
- Work directly with VP, and Marketing Directors, Category, Merchandising to plan content of weekly ads including themes, layouts, products and pricing.
- Work directly with management, Merchandising, Diversity, Consumer Affairs, and Operations to integrate all events, promotions, etc. into print advertising.
- Manage and maintain artwork library including logos, product shoots and designs. Oversee maintenance of third party library of products and designs.
Basic Qualification
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in management with direct experience in sales plan and/or print production.
Preferred Qualification
- Graphic arts or Desktop Publishing experience
- Background in Macintosh computers
