What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shipping and Receiving position at Food Manufacturing Facility?
Job Responsibilities:
- Loading/unloading of trucks in a safe manner utilizing a sit-down forklift.
- Completes daily inbound receiving/outbound shipping using FIFO.
- Unloads and examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with relevant persons to rectify damages and shortages.
- Accurately documents, pulls, stages, and packages or stretch wraps pallets of product per BOL or Packing List.
- Communicates with relevant departments regarding order status, shipping/receiving status, and any issues pending.
- Resolves any daily shipping and receiving discrepancies.
- Performs inventory counts and FIFO stock rotations.
- When discovered, advises appropriate team members of inventory discrepancies, and assists in reconciliation of the related issue.
- Maintains warehouse in a clean and orderly fashion.
- Cleans and maintains all shipping and receiving equipment and materials.
- Assists manufacturing as needed and performs other duties as assigned by management.
- Responsible for housekeeping, sanitation and GMP standards while strictly following outlined food and safety protocols.
- Responsible for recognizing and reporting food safety and/or quality issues to supervisor and/or manager.
- Participate in training for GMP’s, HACCP, and other facility & production related policies & procedures.
- Promote and strive to maintain a positive, supportive culture that is team-oriented, including being self-driven, reliable, motivated, detail oriented, accepting responsibility, completing assigned work, and participating in the work in a proactive manner.
- Routine lifting of 50 lb. bags.
Salary : $20
