We are currently looking for a Accounts Payable Clerk to join our growing team!
JOB SUMMARY
Complete payments and controls expenses by receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Reconcile processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances.
- Charge expenses to accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoice/expense reports; recording entries.
- Pay vendors by monitoring discount opportunities; verifying federal id numbers; scheduling and preparing checks; resolving purchase order, contract, invoice, or payment discrepancies and documentation; insuring credit is received for outstanding memos; issuing stop-payments or purchase order amendments.
- Pay employees by receiving and verifying expense reports and requests for advances; preparing checks
- Maintain accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions.
- Verify and maintain vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions. Correspond with vendors and respond to inquiries.
- Maintain historical records by archiving and filing documents.
- Protect organization's value by keeping information confidential.
- Monitor compliance with company accounting procedures
- Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
- Accomplish accounting and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or two years of experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of two years Accounts Payable experience
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP preferred
- Experience in using Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word and Outlook
- Proven ability to meet quality and quantity goals preferred
- Strong attention to detail required

- Sitting for extended periods of time
- Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse and to handle other
- Communications/computer components
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- Potential exposure to odors, fumes, airborne particles, hazardous chemicals, and microbiological pathogens
