Foothills Unitarian is looking for a Family Programs Coordinator to help nurture our dynamic Family Ministry programs. This is more than just a job—it’s an invitation to be part of something bigger, where your creativity, organizational skills, and love for building community can thrive.

What You'll DoCreate a Welcoming Space for Families
- Be a friendly, supportive presence for families on Sundays, greeting new visitors and helping them feel at home.
- Manage attendance check-in/check-out systems and maintain equipment.
- Train volunteers and staff on welcoming and check-in procedures.
Support and Grow Family Ministry Programs
- Help coordinate Circle Groups for kids (Preschool–3rd grade), including preparing materials and supporting volunteer leaders.
- Occasionally step in as a Circle Group leader when needed.
- Assist with Family Ministry events, creating joyful opportunities for connection.
Coordinate Childcare at Foothills
- Recruit, train, and support our childcare team.
- Schedule caregivers for Sunday services and events.
- Ensure our nursery and preschool spaces are safe, nurturing, and welcoming.
Engage with Parents & Volunteers
- Provide resources to help parents support their children's spiritual and emotional development.
- Offer guidance to volunteers on lesson plans, classroom management, and accessibility for children with unique needs.

The Details
Start Date: April 1, 2025
Hours: Avg. 20 hours/week to start, with potential for growth
- Flexible weekday hours
- Sunday mornings (8:00 AM – 1:00 PM) required
Pay & Benefits:
- $18-22/hour
- Eligible for paid time off, life insurance, disability insurance
- 401K participation after 1,000 hours of service
