The Forbo Movement Systems division holds a leading position worldwide as a supplier of high-quality conveyor and processing belts, plastic modular belts, first-class drive belts, and toothed and flat belts made of synthetic materials. These products are known under the Siegling brand name. They are used for a wide variety of applications in industry and in retail and service companies, for example as conveyor and processing belts in the food industry, as treadmills in fitness studios or as flat belts in mail distribution systems.
Tasks and Duties:
Work safely and efficiently to meet production goals while producing a quality product. Follow the guidelines set up for the equipment to ensure that PVC Paste is manufactured according to standard.
This position is responsible for the startup and shut down of the equipment, making adjustments to the running conditions, continual inspection of the material and general housekeeping of the work area.
Other tasks include:
- Compound or process ingredients or according to formulas.
- Read work orders to determine production specifications or information.
- Observe production or monitor equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Mix or blend ingredients by starting machines and mixing for specified times.
- Dump or pour specified amounts of materials into machinery or equipment.
- Collect samples of materials or products for laboratory testing.
- Ability to trouble shoot machinery issues while machine is running
- Ability to make adjustment to run conditions as the quality of the belt dictates
- Ability to communicate with team members and management
- Problem solving skills
- Ability to read measuring equipment and do standard math
- Ability to oversee operations and carry out task given by management
- Responsible for keeping a safe and clean work environment
- Be able to make decisions

Qualifications:
Have good attendance history
Ability to read and understand written order specifications including units of measure in both English and the Metric system
Must be able to do basic math .
Must be able to independently and safely set up necessary machinery and operate related tools/equipment
Must be able to stand, stoop, and walk for 8 hour shift
Position requires, but is not limited to the following demands/factors:
Physical:
- Occasional heavy lifting of material weighing up to at least 50 lbs.
- Continuous standing and walking
- Frequent handling, pulling and pushing using medium force
- Occasional stooping, crouching, reaching, and twisting
- Use of mechanical controls to operate machinery and equipment
- Occasional writing and manual dexterity
- Hear and speak clearly and distinctly to understand and verbally communicate with co-workers and others
Environmental:
- Works around and with cutting tools, forklifts, rollers, and other machinery which could cause cuts, abrasions, bruises, burns, or fractures to hands or other body parts
- Possible exposure to chemical vapors/odors, oil, and dust
- Moderate noise level
- Temperature Range, 85-90 degrees (hot in summer and cold in winter)
- Humidity, 50 – 55%
