What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Assembler position at FORBO SIEGLING LLC?
BASIC FUNCTION:
Work safely and efficiently to meet production schedules and quality standards according to order form and quality standards. Other duties include, but are not limited to:
-reading and understanding order form
-identifying proper material and module types
-setting up and operating necessary machines/tools
-performing various fabrication processes including assembly, cutting, drilling, packing,
measuring, inspecting, and preparing belts for shipment
-properly fabricating belts within specified tolerances
-operating forklift, loading and unloading trucks and racks
-printing labels and making computer entries
-other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:
-Ability to read and understand written order specifications, including units of measure in
both English and Metric.
-Ability to independently and safely use and/or operate necessary machinery, tools and
equipment.
-Operate forklift
-Satisfactory completion of required Forbo training programs.
-Must be able to independently lift-up to 75 lbs. and maneuver large belts ranging up to
75 feet long.
WORKING CONDITIONS INCLUDE:
-Required to work around and/or with cutting tools, forklifts, and machinery which
could cause cuts, abrasions, burns, bruises or fractures to hands or other body parts
-Possible exposure to chemical vapors/odors
-Temperature range of 68 - 72 degrees
-Humidity between 50 - 55%
