Essential Duties & Responsibilities

To perform this position successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily.

  • Ensures that all maintenance of building structures, repair, grounds, and landscaping for all Lexington facilities are appropriately carried out.
  • Works with senior management and bank facilities manager regarding necessary upkeep and projects.
  • Supervising maintenance and housekeeping staff.
  • Keep a record of all maintenance and service activities conducted and maintaining a cycle of the same.
  • Ensures proper working shifts of employees and evaluating their performances.
  • Interacting with other departments to ensure the proper functioning of all systems in the facilities.
  • Complying with all safety norms and regulations.
  • Delegating work to subordinates and ensuring the timely completion of the same.
  • Filing purchase orders and other documentations for the procurement of spare and replacements parts.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Knowledge of the equipment, tools and materials used in building maintenance.
  • Knowledge of the methods, practices and techniques of maintaining building and facilities.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to interpret miscellaneous drawings, schematics, and assembly or operating instructions.
  • Ability to perform multiple job functions and tasks with minimum supervision.
  • Must possess the ability to make independent decisions, to follow instructions, and to accept constructive criticism.
  • Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with other employees, management, visitors, outside contractors, and the general public.
  • Must maintain the care and use of supplies, equipment, and maintain the appearance of maintenance work areas.
  • Must have the ability to minimize waste of supplies, misuse of equipment, etc.
  • Must possess the ability to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing maintenance practices.
  • Must be able to follow written and oral instructions.

  • Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to operate standard power tools and equipment according to safety specifications.
  • Ability to use fingers and hands to handle, feel, or reach with hands and arms.
  • Ability to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Ability to frequently lift and/or move more than 100 pounds.
  • Ability to see things up close and at a distance, discern colors, and have depth perception.
  • Ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
  • Ability to communicate information and ideas in speaking and writing so others will be able to understand.
  • Ability to identify and understand the speech of another person.
  • Ability to tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong and generate appropriate solutions or responses.
  • Ability to analyze a situation and select the appropriate course of action on matters involving significant risks or consequences.
  • Ability to operate standard business equipment such as a fax, computer, printer, copier, etc.
  • Ability to travel to other locations.
  • Ability to work on a flexible schedule that at times may include late working hours or weekend hours.

Required Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or the equivalent.
  • Five (5) years of skilled maintenance work.
  • Previous experience supervising other trades or maintenance personnel.
  • Valid Kentucky Driver’s License and the ability to maintain a driving record in good standing
